WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU ARE SICK?

A huge tractor trailer truck loaded heavily with bricks ran over me in my sleep this week for I woke up feeling like I had been run over by one.  My head hurt, my back hurt, and my headed pounded with a horrible headache.  Crawling out of bed created pain in every joint but I did manage to make it to the living where I plopped down in my recliner.  I didn't feel like moving.  Three hours later, my eyes popped open and the clock read 11:30.  I took some ibuprofen for my headache and ate some oatmeal and feel about asleep.  Another couple hours passed.  My body soaked with sweat gave me good news.  The fever was broken.

This morning, I felt the same way.  Every bone in my body ached and creaked as I walked.  Then I read my Scripture reading for today,

“What is the price of five sparrows—two copper coins? Yet God does not forget a single one of them. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. Luke 12:6-7 NLT

I had to chuckle at first, for God would have much less to count on my head than most since I am bald.  Yet, there is such wonderful truth here.  God knows what is happening with me.  When you have a bad day or you are sick,  remember this "you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows."
